For over 40 years, Pioneer Door, Inc. has proudly provided expert garage and overhead door solutions to homes and businesses across Alaska. Founded in 1984 by Al Mills and Joe Clark along with two other partners, the company quickly earned a reputation for dependable service and superior workmanship. In 1985, Al and Joe became sole owners, laying the foundation for what would become Alaska’s foremost full-service overhead door company.
In the early 1990s, Pioneer Door joined the distinguished family of Overhead Door™ Ribbon Distributors, gaining the name, Overhead Door Company of Cook Inlet™. This addition further solidified our commitment to quality and innovation in the garage door industry.
Today, the company is locally owned and operated by Al Mills and Chris Clark, who assumed her husband Joe’s ownership share following his passing in 2013. Together, Al and Chris continue to honor the legacy of leadership and service that built our business from the ground up.
